All About the Club

In January 2022 GT Raceway relocated to new premises in Battlesbridge, previously we shared a building with Skyline Raceway in Daws Heath near Benfleet which has now been sold for redevelopment and Skyline Raceway has relocated to new premises near Rochford. GT Raceway is now located on an industrial estate in Battlesbridge, the address being:

The industrial estate, which is currently being refurbished, is on the road next to Battlesbridge Antiques Centre, if you intend to visit turn left on arrival at the industrial site and the premises are to the rear, the code on Google Maps is 9F32JG4M+GJ.

Moving to new premises meant that the track was redesigned and we now have a 6 lane track which is 98 ft in length, and also benefit from having a kitchen.

Racing is still on a Monday evening with the club opening at 6.30 and racing starting at 7.30. Based on a published schedule we race two classes each week, and the first four visits to the club on a Monday evening are free,

Our 2024 racing schedule is made up of 14 hard bodied classes, with thirteen being 1/32 scale and one being 1/24 scale. The cars are all models from proprietary brands which include Slot-it, NSR, Racer, Ninco, Policar and BRM, modifications are allowed and these are detailed in our Car Specifications, which is available to view on this website.

In addition to our club nights we also have Open Meetings on the last Friday of each month, although these have been temporarily suspended due to low numbers of participants. These are daytime events, with doors opening at 09.30 and racing starting at 10.30.
